THCa – THCa, or Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the raw and live cannabis plant. It is the acidic precursor to THC, the compound primarily responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with marijuana. When cannabis is heated through smoking, vaping, or cooking, THCa decarboxylates into THC.
